Earthfest 2026 is coming to New Tecumseth
In Canada, almost 82% percent of the population now live in cities and towns. As climate change is increasingly experienced by us at the local level, municipalities are at the frontline of the effort against climate change. Local governments understand community needs and can take concrete measures which ripples outward to its residents. We are pleased that the Town of New Tecumseth is showcasing its commitment to climate change by hosting its 3rd annual Earthfest.
Free Movie Night – Just Eat It: A Food Waste Story
Earthfest kicks off on April 29 at the Circle Theatre in Alliston with a free showing of the award-winning Canadian documentary that explores food waste – from farms and grocery stores to our own kitchens. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion featuring experts from Second Harvest, Simcoe County Waste Management and Taqueria el Norte. Bring your own popcorn bowl and travel mug for a thought‑provoking evening. 19 Victoria St. E., Alliston – 6:30 – 9:00 pm.
